There was quite a lot of anti-Trump nonsense going on, during the Miss America Pageant, last Sunday night. It has become commonplace on entertainment nowadays. There was, however, a breath of fresh air, in the answer given to a pageant judge by lovely -and patriotic- Miss Missouri.
Jennifer Davis, who ended up crowned runner-up to Miss America, scored higher than 50 other contestants, earning a $25,000 scolarship and the duty of becoming Miss America at a moment’s notice, should Cara Mund of North Dakota, who won the pageant, fail to be able to fulfill her duties at any point.
Judge Jordin Sparks asked: “There are multiple investigations into whether Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia on the election. Well, did they? You’re the jury: guilty or innocent? And please explain your verdict.”
Miss Missouri replied: “Right now, I would have to say innocent, because not enough information has been revealed. We are still investigating this and I think we should investigate it to its fullest extent. And if we do find the evidence that they have had collusion with Russia, then they should — the justice system should do their due diligence and they should be punished accordingly.”
