After witnessing — at least via news coverage — the devastation that Hurricane Harvey wrought in Texas and along the Gulf Coast, one might assume that most people would take the prospect of another hurricane striking American soil rather seriously.
Some are taking the threat of Irma very seriously — Florida Gov. Rick Scott has ordered the evacuation of the Florida Keys, and a number of coastal counties are already preparing for possible land strikes from the largest Atlantic hurricane on record. Neighboring states Georgia and South Carolina are also encouraging residents to be prepared and to remain vigilant.
But others — after seeing weather maps that show Mar-a-Lago, President Donald Trump’s Florida estate in Irma’s path — couldn’t resist the temptation to attack the president:
If Hurricane Irma is looking for something to destroy, it should just park itself on top of Mar-a-Lago and leave the rest of Florida alone

Hurricane Irma: Please spare everyone & everything in Florida except Mar-a-Lago. The man who owns it is a bad person & is tearing us apart. pic.twitter.com/4lWIUOXJDw

Floridians, you might want to evacuate. Donald Trump, you might want to take a vacation to Mar-a-Lago this weekend. pic.twitter.com/aiWA2n3Qmf
